Trying to make my own business card, from start to finish. The design part was straight-forward–I simply pulled together the design elements from the old blog.
The main problem was trying to print it with Avery card stock using their proprietary software Avery Deisgn Pro. The program had a printer “calibration” function which sounded promising, though I did not see any visible differences from uncalibrated vs calibrated printouts. Another problem was for the software did not handle kerning of fonts correctly. The o and f in “of” as they appear now are actually separated by a 3-point space character…
Anyway, in the end this is a mere mock-up. Home printing using Avery did not produce well-aligned cards :(. Once the design is finalized, I will probably order some VistaPrint cards.
